Hello Steve,
We were so happy to be on the receiving end of the Gemmell/Beckstead shoot! The photos are so amazing and capture the magic of our special day.
We spent half a day of our honeymoon absorbing them - staring at the laptop screen - whilst ignoring the Mauritian palm tree lined white sandy beach 20 yards away from our room.
We love the different angles and unusual perspectives, the play with lights and shadows, the long lens shots with their blurred backgrounds, and of course the fantastic images of the children.
You two were such a pleasure to have at our wedding as you blended in perfectly. We hardly noticed you taking the pictures during the ceremony and wedding breakfast.
When it came to shooting on the grounds we had great fun, lots of laughs, and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
We can’t thank you enough for taking wedding photos with that “special something” and giving us beautiful memories for a lifetime.

The full size final version is better than we had imagined and we are very very happy with the result - it makes the most of all the wonderful pictures you took on the day and I’m sure we’ll enjoy it for years to come, bringing back fond memories of our big day.

Soon after we got engaged a friend gave me some key advice - “don’t mess with the Venue, Dress or Photographer…..”
By now you’ve probably got the Venue. The Bride will know what dress she wants and you’ve just found the answer to the Photographer question!
Steve’s work speaks for itself! Just by flicking through his website and the stunning slideshow above (if my opinion counts!) you will get a flavour of the magic he captures and from the examples we’ve seen, his albums are even better!
And that’s not all. Steve is a real pleasure to work with. Not pushy, not in your face, not trying to get the glory shots at the expense of the day, just relaxed, ever helpful and ever flexible! 90% of the shots at our wedding we weren’t even aware he’d taken which not only means you and your guests have a wonderful, relaxing day, but also that you get to see the 90% you missed!
