The staff at Brocket Hall are always so helpful and I would like to particularly thank Ireq the manager on duty on Saturday. He is always so courteous towards the guests and went out of his way to help at Charlotte and Jon’s big day. As he has done on previous occassions when I have photographed at Brocket Ireq kindly drove us round to the bridge in a golf cart so that we could get a great photograph looking back to the house. So a big thank you to Ireq and Ella who was also on duty that night.
The day started at The Brocket Arms in Ayot St Lawrence where groom Jon and his best men brother Craig and friend Tom plus the ushers were getting ready for the day ahead. Then off to St. Albans where Charlotte and chief bridesmaid sister Emily, mother Jackie and father Phil were making their final adjustments before heading off to the church at Ayot St. Peters.
Charlotte looked absolutely amazing and wowed all of her guests when she arrived just before 3pm. You can see the emotion on Jon’s face as she came down the aisle.
Jackie had prepared the bouquets herself with additional flowers at Brocket Hall supplied by Gadsden Flowers of St. Albans. The vintage Rolls Royce was courtesy of Lord Cars, a company who have a very wide selection of great cars which I seem to see nearly every week.
I was particularly grateful for our little tour in the golf cart as very soon after our return the heavens opened and we had a very heavy shower so it was a case of improvising and finding a good location for the formal photographs indoors. Then we were back outside again for some big group photographs of everyone before returning inside for the wedding breakfast and speeches.
Charlotte and Jon are having a short break in Norfolk before taking their honeymoon in early October. Here are a few photographs from the day with more to follow ….
