It is really great when your work is appreciated. It is even greater when it is admired by someone who is a legend in the wedding photography industry.
I had only been photographing weddings for a year or so when I stumbled across a website by David Beckstead. He is an american photographer who in 2007 was voted as one of the top ten wedding photographers in the world. I was truely inspired by David’s work back then ( 2005 ) and I sent him a couple of my images from my recent weddings.
He then added them to his “Admired by Beckstead” site, first image, second image which is a website that David set up to showcase the work of wedding photographers that he admired.
Since that time I have run two wedding workshops in the UK with David and also shot two weddings with him in the UK. He is a great guy and a truely inspirational teacher so if you get the chance to attend one of his workshops - don’t miss it - you will learn a great deal and be inspired to improve your work at future weddings.
