Saturday’s wedding at Fanhams Hall was my first of this year. Alison & Ciaran celebrated together with family and friends after their wedding vows were exchanged in the Long Room. After some formal photographs in the grounds everyone was glad to get back into the warm for the wedding breakfast in the Oak Room.

There was a definite yuletide feel at the Manor of Groves on Saturday for Alison & Bill’s wedding. Apart from the Christmas decorations the wedding had a classy black & white theme for the occasion with male guests in dinner jackets and black ties. I photographed Leigh & Steve’s wedding on Saturday. They were married at Tewin Bury Farm and after the ceremony we captured this delightful shot of Leigh and her party.

St Etheldreda’s in Ely Place, London is Britain’s oldest Catholic Church. It’s origins date from the time when bishops were called to sit in Parliament. And it was here on Saturday the 24th October at 2pm that Katherine and Assad were married.

The word confetti originates from the Italian word referring to edible favours and candies given to wedding guests.
Modern paper confetti is a relatively new invention, first documented in the 1890s. It quickly became popular at society weddings and soon went into mass production.
Apparently the origin of the confetti tradition probably goes back to pagan fertility...
